Welcome to the Oregon Nicotine Treatment & Recovery Collab Space
-
This collaboration works to improve nicotine addiction diagnosis, treatment and recovery for people who are using tobacco or nicotine products and also experiencing mental health conditions or substance use disorders. This project is funded by the Oregon Health Authority. During 2020 - 2023, this project focused on assessments and big picture planning for policy change. During 2023-2024, this project used the information from previous assessments to develop messaging, materials, and technical assistance for tobacco prevention coordinators and behavioral health professionals. Now, 2025-current, we have projects focused on both gathering data (such as learning about tobacco treatment at SUD treatment facilities) and providing workforce development opportunities, such as sponsoring people to attend tobacco treatment specialist trainings, so behavioral health professionals can lead change at their workplaces and in their field!
Rede Group lead facilitators are Audra Baca and Makinna Miles.
